Dreamcast Drive Issue - Drive Failure?

So I was just on PSO enjoying the Valentine's day decor when the BGM stops playing, and the DC starts making a very loud noise whirring. I disconnect so I don't lose my items if something happens, and when I turn it back on, it won't read discs, just spin them extremely fast. Without the disc the menu screen works fine.

Has my drive died on me?
If so is it fairly straightforward to replace? The PSO info isn't tied to the GD drive somehow is it?

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

Never anyone mind, found out what to do from OC, and simply popped out the old drive and popped in a new one.


Thank goodness for the DC's NAOMI heritage/modular design =)
