    PS2 Logicool Steering Wheel...Still available??

    Hey guys,

Got a copy of Initial D Special Stage arrive today that I'd traded some old 'Cube games for

As per usual the PS2 pad sucks & going back through a search looking for a menu translation (which I found...huzzah for search ) I saw lots of you recommending the Logicool Wheel so did a quick search on Play-Asia & saw unsupprisingly tbh that it is no longer available

So I'm basically just wondering if they are still available where should I look & if they arent how much should I expect to have to save up to buy a 2nd hand one??

Finally if they arent available & 2nd hand one's are overly expensive can you recommend a good alternative??

    Thanks guys.

Hi Soundwave, yeah the pad is to be avoided on Initial D. I bought the Logitech Force Pro wheel (The one that does 900 degrees) and whilst it was an improvement (That wheel will break your forearms in GT4!) I searched for ages to get the Logicool wheel. Its been out of stock/production for a while now and I ended up purchasing the GT3 version of the wheel and tis brilliant for Initial D.

Beware though, there is another version of the wheel which looks almost identical and almost called the same thing but the gear paddles won't work on Initial D.

My version has a blue d-pad if I remember correctly. Try a search for my past posts on the forums (I won't have many) or for "Initial D" and you'll find more specific info.

I ended up buying mine from ebay, I'd recommend using the BIN function as they weren't common, there are plenty of the alternative-almost-identical version but its not the one you want.

      Thanks for that

      The hunt begins

I have seen a few Logitech's on T' Bay most have the blue grips but a black D-pad so not sure if they are the same as your's??

Last thing I want to do is buy a wheel & not be able to use the paddles

Anyway I did try 'D' again last night with the pad & while I managed a couple of controlled slides most of the time I just right myself for the next bend by bouncing off the wall's

Cracking game just pointless with a pad as you cant control the slides
      Hope I find one soon.

      Thanks again

I looked through my old posts and its the one which doesn't have a d-pad actually!

Look for the GT Force wheel not the Driving Force which is the more common, but unsupported for Initial D.
