PS2 RGB Scart

Made the mistake of giving my one away with my last playstation figuring i could pick another one up, but it seems nobody sells them and even the sony centre are out of stock, tried ebay and the obvious places but all they had was a grey one (Psone) - i know its identical to the black PS2 model but the miss's would get a bit peved with grey cables.

so, can any of you nice folk let me know where on earth i can buy a PAL RGB cable, if its impossible to get an official one are any third party ones good? i tend to stick well away from third party stuff but i may have no choice.

I've got this one. Saurian recommended this cable on the forum about a month ago. Gives a superb picture and for ?9.99 its a bargain.

Alternatively, if you want the best and have got cash to burn check out the IXOS website. ( www.ixos.co.uk ) They sell a top quality cable, costs approx ?40.

Just got one, thanks! im a bit of a quality buff - but for 9.99 im willing to put some faith in you

the switch to composite is cool, doubt i'd bother using PS2 for dvd's but im pretty lazy sometimes.

Can I ressurrect this thread and ask if anyone knows if its still possible to get the official cable? or even if you have one to sell.

I hope this is the right cable I want, its the better picture quality cable than the one that comes as standard, similar to the advanced scart cable I purchased for 360 & was spoken about in the play thread of dead rising.

Not sure which online stores you can get the official one from. It used to be available from the official online shop but thats not up at the moment.

Looks like this one being sold by someone on Amazon Marketplace should be an official one though, they do come in green packaging like he says:

If you cant get the official one (or want one thats just about as good but cheaper) then the PS2 version of the Blaze Ultimate Scart Cable is the one to go for.
It's the same one that was linked to earlier in this thread & while Gameplay.com no longer stock it there are other sites that do:

yep should work fine , watch out though as some aren't wierd for rgb

was in leeds on friday and none of the game, hmv, virgin had ps2 rgb leads which i thought was strange as i was after that blaze rgb ps2 lead

Low and behold it works 8) ,ensure the PS2 is set to RGB mode

The Blaze cable is actually better than the official one, so get that.

yes but its not available anymore as i cant find it in shops in leeds
