Is it possible to have the players names in English if you choose their shirt names (like on the PS2 version).?
Also what's the control like for it via the pad?

Somewhat... you have to go in and edit them though. Players name are in Japanese, but the shirt names are in English, so just copy one to the other. For every person. Takes a long time!

I don't use the pad for playing, use the stick, it's fine, in fact a bit better than the PS2 crosshairs...

It is a great game, but you will need to get a copy of edited files to make it easier to play games in English despite japanese menu.

There is no news on GC Winning Eleven 7 but the old one is released about 7 weeks the PS 2 version so we might hear something for October or thereabout.

You can do it with one of them USB memory thingys available at lik-sang (Just download the patch)

I can send you an edited file I acquired if you like. It contains translated names for players and club teams, authentic flags etc. The South American teams are replaced by European teams. Give me a PM for more info. It will involve you posting me your memory card, me copying the file over, then sending it back, so its up to you if you want to risk it.
