NTSC PSX games not working on a chipped PAL PSX?

I always assumed a chip made the console multi region, all my ntsc games are B/w ? ANyone help?

Yup,

You need a RGB lead to get colour on a chipped psx.

IVe just got a scart for my psx, however im getting a chipped PS2 , so if I use that to boot a ntsc psx game will I have the same problem, or does it come with RGB ? Also if youve got RGB and use a RGB-SCART block will it give the same problem?

i dont know what tv you're using but it cud be that like my old tv urs isnt NTSC compatible and just wont display the game correctly!

The PS2 doesnt need RGB to output import PAL games in colour so you should be ok.

Having said that you really want RGB as its a much better picture !
