Weight of US 60GB PS3 Package

My US PS3 has died and has to be sent to my mate in the US so he can send it back to SCEA. Oh the joys of grey importing :|

The thing is I have no accurate way to weigh the package. Does any one know how much the basic 60GB package (no Blu-ray disc) weighs?

If I remember correctly the Japanese version lists the weight as 7kg on the back of the box. I'd assume the US one is similar, if not identical.
