PS2 Network Adaptor sell-on question

Looking to sell mine on as no longer use it, have the unit itself and the disc that came with it, but does it need the "network access code" that came with it originally to be of any use to a potential buyer ?, see there's quite a few on ebay sold as just the unit alone (and other people selling just the CD and the code) ... so guess they work fine, just after confirmation please.

You need the CD to register, but most people who want the network adapter aren't interested in using it to play online.
