    PS3 Bluetooth headset problem/question

I've registered my headset with the unit. It's a Sony Ericsson headset too. After you register it you can go to the test menu with that bar that shows how loud you are talking etc, and gives you a choice of input and output devices. Now once I turn the headset off, I cannot get the test menu to work again unless I re-register the headset. I just wondered if this is normal? I don't have any games that support chat so I can't tell for myself.

    Thanx.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

No, that shouldnt be the case. I got the wife's Motorola's H500 (in a fetching hot pink...) working with the PS3 last week. Once it's set up, thats it, I can just turn it on & off. Resistance picks it up in MP, even gives you the same testing screen as the XMB.

Ok, might the problem be that I also have the headset registered to my mobile? It's set up so that when I turn it on it automatically connects to my phone. I have to hit discconect on my phone to use it with the PS3, but then I find that once I've used it with my PS3 it won't connect to my phone unless I re-register it again. I'm sure there isn't anything wrong with my PS3, just that I'm doing something wrong. Perhaps if I got myself a copy of Resistance I could sort it out or even better somebody with a US manual could let me know what is says in regards to the setting up of a headset?

      Thanx btw.

Ok, just looked in the manual for Resistance & it has nothing on the headset, it's not listed on the back of the box as well. I knew it wrked from reposrts on the sony forum, or I wouldnt have tryed. How ever, I just registered the H500 to my SE K800i & the PS3 saw listed the device as registered, but it wouldnt pick it up untill I re-registered back. So that seems to be all the problem is, unless I'm doing it wrong as well?
        Hope that helps

So from what we can gather the PS3 has to have an exclusively registered headset? My phone is also a S-E K800i, and the headset is the S-E HBH-GV435. Would anybody with a USA PS3 mind having a look through the system manual to confirm?

Thanx for your input btw Velcro. Also do you have the headset set to auto connect to your phone? I think this may be the problem as I've just read that somebody else who has his headset paired with both his phone and his PS3 was able to interrupt a game of Resistance to answer a call and then switch back to the game straight away.

Ok, just dug my PS3's manual out of the loft & for setting up a Bluetooth device it say's......Nothing. Really, cant find it in any of the manuals. You can get them on the web from http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PS3/Manuals
But it's down at the moment (lol) I didnt have it set like that, so not sure if that's what the issue was, I just registered it to the phone to test it out. I've taken a *quick* look at the sony forums but that place is like Gamefaqs *hides*
Seems odd we would have to have just the 1 headset for the PS3 only.
