    The best Guilty Gear game??

So guys seeing as Guilty Gear XX Slash has just been re-released on PS2 I thought I'd ask which is the best GG game??

I have Midnight Carnival already on the PS2 & just wondered if Slash was worth getting as well or should I just stick with MC??

    Ta,

You're fine with Midnight Carnival tbh, most GG games since have pissed me off with their incremental updates, gimmicky, broken mechanics (ISUKA!!!) or just plain 'meh-ness' (dust strikers).

Midnight Carnival, to me, is like the beer that isn't served on student night.

Thats what I was hoping you'd say tbh

I'm not sure I really needed another 2D fighter what with Hokuto No Ken due in the next 2 weeks as well, but I just needed to be sure that Midnight Carnival was the best of the PS2 bunch as I really quite like it & I actually find I'm getting loads more playtime out of that than Street Fighter 3 dont know what it is about it but the mechanics just feel right & the whole thing just looks so gorgeous, love the intro

      Anywho thanks for the help.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core should be out on the PS2 by the end of may. Wait for that version instead.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for PlayStation 2 * In our warehouse. Sega/Sammy's popular fighting game series Guilty Gear XX gets yet another update, which was released in Japan Arcades in the end of 2006.Accent Core features a type of special move, the "Force Break", which consumes 25% of the Tension bar when used, in addition to balance changes along the lines of those in #Reload and Slash. Most characters have gained new special moves, and some have had existing specials (or powered-up versions of existing specials) converted into Force Break attacks. It also introduces moves that make opponents stick ...

HNK, is basically GG with different visuals. It plays very similar. My personal favourite GG is Version 1.5.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

X2 reload for me just for the fact that it was the first I played and got me into the series

Guilty Gear X2 is back compat on the PS3... having never owned a PS2 I think i might pick it up on the cheap (if pos?)

I have only ever played the original on the DC back in the day on a mate's machine and really enjoyed it.

Edit, which is better X2 or X2 Reload?

                          guilty gear x
                          guilty gear xx
                          guilty gear xx reload
guilty gear isuka (though it is a offshoot i think)
                          guilty gear xx slash
                          guilty gear xx accent core
