    PS2 chipping?

I just picked up a cheap chunky PAL PS2 and want to get it chipped so I don't have to use my Japanese slimline. Is there anywhere reliable that can do it for me and at a good price?

Bought a chipped slimline PS2 to replace my old bulky one from these guys last week and the service was fantastic. Ordered on Sunday night and it was with me on Tuesday, chipped and ready to go.

Search for +ps2 +best +modchip (put that in the search box) and you should find some useful recommendations.

As for me, I vote for the Ghost2 chip and Ghostfitter as have others here. Excellent service.

There are solderless chips as well which aren't too difficult to fit, and would work out cheaper than paying someone to fit it for you.

They're not the easiest of things though.

There are the original solderless mods, which required use of a Swap Magic, and only worked on certain model PS2's.

There is the DMS4 EZI solderless range, but they are very risky to install, so easy to break the pins on your machine.

You could also use a flip-top lid and Swap Magic combo, but I really believe your better off just getting the job done properly.

Just to say I bought a pre-mod from G2F and their customer service is good.

Same here, had a problem with it after about 2 months and they fixed it within a few days, great customer service. Its a bit pricey but worth it if you plan on using it alot.
