Dell 2405FPW and a DVDI TO HDMI Cable on a PAL PS3.

Now my Dell 2405FPW screen is not HDCP compliant but what i need to know before i fork out the cash is that if i buy DVDI to HDMI Cable firstly will it work and secondly will it work ok in 1080p which my screen supports on a Pal PS3.

    Any help be most gratefull.

    Tia.

Yeah I'd like to know this too.

I'm currently using a component lead and it supports all resolutions up to 1080i. If a HDMI-DVI lead works at 1080p I would certainly consider buying one. Even if it just worked for games and not Blu-Ray movies.

On another forum thread somebody did mention that the difference between 1080i and 1080p on a 24 inch screen might be quite negligible though and only noticable on your 40+ inch screens.

I was about to say the same thing. Prolly best staying with component.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

Well it should work fine with games but films may not play.

Dunno, DVI is always preferable and screens that are primarily PC monitors usually do a bad job of component.
