    PS3 Wireless Network problem

Configured my PS3 to connect with my wireless router, which it is has done fine, but I keep getting occassional (and quite frequent) dropouts i.e. 'You have signed out', 'you have signed in', 'You have disconnected from the access point' etc. Funny how it stayed logged in long enough for me to download content fomr the store.

Sitting beside my PS3 is a PS2, 360 and Wii - all of them work friggin fine online.

The only thing I can see being the problem is possibly the signal strength which varies between 25 and 50% according to the PS3.

My router is downstairs in my house.

Any ideas? Should I think about getting a new uber router? Please, help

[Edit] Might look into buying an Wireless range extender.

are you using a linksys by any chance? There were some compatability issue's when i got my JP PS3 back in november which was highlighted on the official PS3 foums. I eventually gave up and brought a Netgear which works a treat.

no, mine is a TP-Link router. Strangely i've been logged in now for about six hours without a problem.

Had yours worked at all? What problems did you experience?

Plus could you tell me what netgear did you get in case the range extender i've ordered turns out to make no difference?

      thanks
