JP PS3...can u change button functions please?

ok i have a JP PS3 and does anyone know if theres anyway to change the button functions please so X is confirm/yes and O is no etc please?
as it is now, it is O for yes and X for no???
i thought this was normal until i read somewhere that this is the japanese way! is that correct?
not a big issue just after using PS2/xbox/360/PSP etc the bottom key is always yes so messes me up a little!

You can't.

Same deal as the Japanese PS2 & PSP (unless you add custom firmware). As the guys say it'll become 2nd nature pretty quickly though.

Having also had circle as select on my JPN PSP it seems right using it now and I actually prefer it to X for some reason. Gets confusing on NBA2K7 though because it reverts to X for select, always take me half a minute to work it out before playing it.
