mymemory.co.uk are worth checking, even though they charge ?4 delivery, their prices should still work out a bit cheaper than play.com

Think it was increased in a recent firmware update (3.10?) to support 8 gb sticks. However, they go for silly money at the moment.

Just read a post on the maxconsole forums that seemed to suggest that (in the custom firmwares at least) the 4gb limit is still intact. However, the guy could have had a dud(fake?) memory stick.

4gb is the limit. My mate just tested it out the other day. I thought that it had been increased to 8gb myself around 3.03, but obviously not.
              Kept you waiting, huh?

If 4GB is the limit, why the **** are gameplay selling 8GBs? Bit stupid if you ask me

I think if you use custom firmware you will have problems with the 8gb stick as its uses part of the 1.5 kernel.

Not sure if it will be fine on an official firmware though.
