If I am not mistaken, you can download the file 5 times.

            Actually it is.

Unlike Live's equivalent to DRM you can redownload it to any PS3 and not just the original system.

Having been bitten on the backside by the 360's reliability and then only being able to play stuff previously downloaded when connected to Live, I actually prefer Sony's model of doing it.

Agree. "5 times" is similar to some great shareware apps, and basically means that you never have a problem. With the ability to upgrade disk, and maybe 1 hardware fault, I can't see 5 being a problem.

Send your 360 to MS like me, and find out nothing works when you don't connect, and that's a far worse situation.

Yeah it is a good thing, my brother has had to swap his PAL unit for a different one because the first one had a faulty hard drive, and he was just able to redownload the game on his new system yesterday without any difficulty.

I didn't know that- wasn't referencing it. Simply the fact that it's 5 downloads, you've paid for it, why can't you download it more than 5 times if you can download the free stuff as many times as you like?

And the MS thing...it's not as if you can't play them at all, i mean yeah it sucks, i can't play geometry wars if i'm not connected to live 'cause i've now got a japanese system, but everytime i'm on my 360 i'm connected to live anyway (apart from the downtime) so doesn't end up making too much of a difference for me.

Here's why not: if you could download it unlimited times, the whole PSN business model wouldn't work.

Example: One person could purchase and download Calling All Cars and then post their login details on the web. Everyone else in the world could then log in as them on their PS3s and download the game for free.

Why would anyone give their login details out? That would mean that they would get signed out all the time by people signing onto their account to play the game...and you could do that on live really, it's the same as it's tied to the gamertag right?

You don't need to sign on as that person to play the game, you only need to sign on as them once - to download it.

There'd be nothing to stop someone from creating an account specifically for this purpose, downloading a game and then selling the login details (for say half the price of the game) thousands of times over.

You can, but there's a limit of 5 downloads for paid content, although I suppose thats enough really.

Anyone else having trouble adding funds? I`m using Mastercard with the uk store and it saves my credit card details alright but when I go to add funds it just comes up at the end saying "Credit Card could not complete the transaction, no funds have been added"

                              Any ideas?
