anyone know how Ridge 7 handles online for imports, are you locked to the region of your PS3 (like Resistance) or the copy of the game (like Motorstorm)?

I am 98% sure that if you have a JPN copy of Ridge Racer 7 you can play against Americans, Europeans in the same race. I am sure that someone on here said this. However I just won the game on ebay for ?23 (?1.99 postage). It is the Japanese version of the game and I have a Japanese PS3. I will report back when it arrives. -

re resistance, i have a JP console and american copy of the game, but could my UK buddys 'host' a game and then i could join that please?
hopefully the new update for resistance is gonna make it so you can play on worldwide servers!
