Anyone buy/bought many PSP UMD Movies ?

Use my PSP almost daily for quite a lot of program/film watching so I've picked up a few over the last couple of weeks, nowadays most (even new releases) are available between about six and ten quid.

Play stock about 350 including recent releases like Casino Royal.

So, am I alone here or has anyone else bought some ?

i have a couple - Sky Blue and The Silent Hill Experience, which works the same as a UMD Movie in that it plays through the comics rather than page by page like the MGS Digital Novel.

i've always been tempted to pick up the cheaper ones like Akira etc. and it seems that the UMD is the only R2 release of Steamboy which has the original voice track - maybe the premium limited super-duper edition has Japanese vox but i'll be jiggered if i'm going to pay stupid money for it.

I thought the free Spiderman 2 UMD was pretty shoddy and didnt bother with any after seeing that

Only one - Bugsy Malone which I picked up for my son for a long coach journey. Other than that, I just rip stuff onto a stick.

I used the free spider-man on they gave me (after registering my imported one n the uk site ) to boot pirate copies of others from the memory stick. Can't say i ever really considered buying any, due to the limited use and silly price of the things.

                Hahahahahahahahaha....no.

I think Yuji Naka put it well back whenever when - why would anyone want to watch movies on such a small screen (for movies)?

After the novelty wore off, I only bought UMDs if they were stupidly cheap, like Lord of War for $5.99.

If you travel a lot though it certainly makes sense to me, anyways. It is a nice-sized screen and certainly makes more sense than watching videos or even movies on the tiny NDS/GBA/Ipod/Creative Zen/Sansa etc etc.

Ohhhhhhhhhh leftover pizza! Laters 'lads' (I am just being a sin Rome not being a wannabebritthankyou)

I bough Bad Boys when i got my own PSP. What a load of crap. I don't watch movies on my iPod neither do i on a PSP. Screens need to be a decent size for me. Even my computer screen is 24" - gotta love iMacs

PSP is still a total rip-off! sigh

I had a few classics like The Goonies and Transformers the movie to watch if we went somewhere that would be teh dull. Sold em all now though.

I have quite a few. I have a long commute to work, on the train, and sometimes can't be bothered to play games, so I watch UMD movies. If I was sensible, I'd get into ripping DVDs, but UMD videos are so cheap now I don't bother.

I just rip my DVDs if I want to watch something on a journey. Without any sort of TV out on the PSP it never made any sense to me to pay a similar price for a film I could never watch on a proper sized screen.

If you could get something like one of the Lord of the Rings trilogy on UMD, would the battery run out before the film finished?

More than one? Yeah, but you could say the same about a portable DVD player, couldn't you?
