    Transfering video's from camcorder to PC

    A few weeks ago I played a Final Fantasy song in a concert and my mum recorded it and wants it to go on Youtube (Because I posted another song earlier). Anyway she recorded it on a tape, not on a memory stick and whenever I connect the camera to my PC, nothing happens.
    I am not sure why the camera is not even being detected by my PC after I connect it. Any ideas?

    give some more details of the camera you are using, then we can help. have yuo installed the necessary drivers? how are you connecting to the pc?
