    Xbox 360 NTSC Console Only?

    Hey

If I was to purchase an Xbox 360 in NTSC format, from say Ebay, and I bought the UK leads - would the UK leads fit the US Xbox and would they work?

Would I still have to buy a step-down converter and a lead that will work on a UK TV?

And are Hard-Drives and accessories all universal (ie. bought in the UK, work on a NTSC console)?

Sorry I'm a newbie to this stuff and have read all the FAQs but still a bit lost

Really want a NTSC Xbox for the american sports like MLB 2k7, Arena Football, College Hoops etc. that I sadly found are NTSC only.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Sorry if any info is incorrect - I don't have the US version.

You can use accessories from any region, including a UK power brick. In fact I have seen multi-voltage ones - maybe someone can get you a link.

Some of the games are region free too (though not the sports games, I believe) and many are cheapest to buy from PlayAsia.

      Yep, works fine on mine

No step down required and the TV will work fine too.

For American sports games I would just buy PS3 instead. I will import MLB 2K7/8 when I get one. Stupid region coding for american only sport games.

If he's using a UK power supply with a US system, I'm absolutely 100% sure.

I will use the PS3 for USA sports games but sadly MLB 2K7 is actually better on the Xbox 360 from what i can gather from the demo.

I have the PS3 version of MLB 2K7 and it suffers from an ridiculous amount of slowdown. The Xbox 360 demo on the US marketplace has no slowdown. I then doublechecked this by downloading the PS3 demo and that has the same slowdown the full game does. Sadly MLB 2K7 is region locked so I can't sell my PS3 version and import that instead so im just hoping a patch turns up soon.

Is there definitely no need for a step-down converter?

UK leads in a US Xbox = too much voltage? No?

Just unsure of this issue, if you could please clear it up!

What do they go for on Ebay as i have a US core i may sell?

And both my US machines run off uk psu's.

                      With UK component leads.

                      And pads.

The 360's power supply is external. Therefore, the plug that goes into the Xbox is the same power - it is the brick that takes a different voltage, etc.

Typical Customs Charge on Importing 360/PS3?

What is the typical price that Customs charge for importing a 360 or PS3 from USA/Canada?
