Resistance Fall of Man Asian/HK version Blood

Hi could anyone please help me.

I have a Japanese PS3 and a Hong Kong/Asian version of Resistance. How do I get blood in the game because the use a USA save file trick does not work. I think that someone with the Asian version and an American or UK PS3 would be able to help as I think I need a save file created by the Asian version on one of those machines. The code for the Asian version is BCAS 20003 but all the save files on the internet are from the Japanese version BCAS 30003.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

I just checked the code on the copy of Resistance i have. It's the
Japanese one, BCJS30003. I've a Pal Euro PS3. I get blood in the
game, even though i've a japanese copy. Any help, to you....?

The censorship is dictated by the region of your console, not your game. I think a save from a US or UK machine ought to work regardless of what region the game disc was.

Yeah, i thought that. So a save from a Euro console would be no
        use to him ?

          hi thanks for your help.

The censorship is dictated by the console but the game will only look for saves in the folder it creates. For example Japanese copy of Resistance on Pal console, create save, transfer that save to Japanese PS3 and Japanese copy of Resistance would have blood. However I dont think from my experiments so far that a save from a Japanese/American/PAL copy of the game created on a PAL or USA console would work with my Asian copy of the game. If I had the Japanese/American/PAL version of the game id be sorted but really I need a save file created by the Asian version on a American or Pal console.

My version is BCAS30003 so the game will only recognise saves created by BCAS30003 games. I actually thought when I won it on ebay that it was the Japanese version as thats what I wanted and what the listing said but sadly the seller got his Japanese and Chinese mixed up so I got the Asian one.

I would like the PAL save please to see if that works though please in case im wrong. Thanks

Sure here's two saves, one for medium level and the other hard.
Hope they work for you. Tell me how you get on.....?

Any version save will work with any version disc on any version PS3. You must be doing something wrong.
                  Kept you waiting, huh?

Any version save won't work with any region, as I found out a few months ago when trying to get a US save to work with my JPN copy. Had to source a JPN save in the end.

You was doing something wrong too then. I'm running a JPN disc with a USA save right now. I've put my JPN disc on my friend's PAL PS3 with a USA save and it works fine.

thank you wonderboy for the files sadly they didnt work. I have fixed the problem though with a save file from gamefaq.com for the HK version on a PAL console.

J0e Musashi could you please give me some infomation.

Could you please give me the name of the folder the USA save is contained in. If its BCJS 30003 then it does matter what version of the game created the save file. BCJS is the serial of the Japanese version of the game. If I had for example an American PS3 and I created a save file on it with the Japanese copy of Resistance that is seen as an American save file. This save file when transfered to a Japanese PS3 will enable any Japanese copy of Resistance to be uncut. However I have the Asian copy of Resistance and it cant see save files unless they are in the folder BCAS 20003. I have tried copying the details from the USA save file into the BCAS 20003 folder but it still will not see it. I needed a save file created on a PAL or American machine by the HK version. Most people have the Japanese or American version of the game so they have had no problems getting hold of a save file created on a USA machine.

I don't understand all of this "copying the USA save into the HK folder". Just run the HK game with the USA save. D/L a USA save and place it into the "Saved Data Utility" under the user account you want to use with the HK version of the game, and start the game as normal. You should have no other Resistance save file in there. You'll have to start from the beginning of the game also. I have a USA save running under my USA account and a Japanese save running under my UK account, only the USA one displays blood, and the saves are totally separate of each other. I am at different points of the game under each save file.

This is the save I used. It 100% displays blood.

If it doesn't work then you can rename the folder from BCJS30003 to BCAS20003 using a pc, which should fix your problem.

Glad you got something working, mononokehime316uk. I gave back
to my friend the Japanese copy of R:FOM. Before though. I tried a
US, Japanese then back to Euro/pal save. See if it does anything. Is
it me or did the cache files/game data, that 130mbs it saves to the
PS3 hdd change. I'm sure reinstalled it using one of the saves. What
with the disc containing all versions...?

Funny though, i get blood in the game on all saves. My save has the
BCJS30003 name, but on Pal..... Anyway, finished it now...

                              Good luck...
