Psp for watching fansubbed anime. Worth it?

Thinking about getting a psp to watch fansubbed anime on. Was just wondering if anybody does this and if it's suitable?

Alot of anime is 4:3, so wondering whether the widescreen display will be suitable. The main thing is that the subtitles are readable.

    Any feedback appreciated,

When i had my psp i was able to read it just, but unless you convert it or the original file is widescreen then its a bit small to watch, i just tended to get annoyed with it and watch it on my PC when i got back home in the end.

Totally suitable. Done it loads of times. I'd recommend 16@9 stuff but all ok imho.

I did it last night for the first time, was great - my only problem is I'd be worried about getting OGM files into the right format. Is there a quick solution out for that yet?

          That's taken from another thread.

Don't know if it keeps the subtitles from MKV and OGM, would be kinda pointless if it didn't. Can't vouch for the software as I have never used it, my PSP is gathering dust, just speeding up my Vista machine.

I did however use my PSP for watching anime when on lunch at work years ago and it was perfectly fine. 4:3 or 16:9 native video played back fine with minimal distortion.
