    Cleaning Gamecube Discs

How do you clean Gamecube discs safely for dust removal etc? Any 100% guaranteed methods that will not damage game nor cube?

You can get special cloths that don't scratch or damage the disc.

And as with other optical media, you should clean them from centre to edge rather than radially.

Depends if its dust or fingerprints etc. that you're talking about.

If its dust then i'd advise the use of a tin of airduster. Its bascially a can of compressed air that you can blow the dust away with and not leave any marks at all on the disc. You can buy it from PC World for about a fiver if i remember rightly.

Fingerprints on the other hand i would leave unless they're bad enough to affect the playing of the disc. Personally i'd much rather buy a game with a small fingerprint on the surface than one that had scratches from being rubbed with a cloth.

          I would to.

Actually, I don't think I've ever cleaned any of my game discs or DVDs. Prevention is certainly a better option; hold discs by the edges, put them away in the cases after you've used them.
