    Cheapest Xbox 360 Core system?

    Good evening,

As I'm going to be moving to a flat of my own at the end of June (hopefully), I am now starting to realise that the things I have been using in my current household will not come with me and one of those things is my Brother's Xbox 360 that he (mostly) paid for at launch and it will be staying with him, which doesn't bother me too much.

However - *groans* - I really want to play the Halo 3 beta as well as taking the few games I own (and paid for) with me so I am looking for a cheap, cheap Xbox 360 Core system and wish to know where the cheapest can be found as I am useless at looking around beyond the 'main' online shopping websites.

I am not bothered about bundles or extra accessories; just the Xbox 360 itself.

    Thanks to whoever helps.

You might Struggle to play the Halo 3 beta without a harddrive though, unless you already have one of course?

      Yes, I do.

Both me and my Brother have separate hard drives mate for each of us to have separate content/games/profiles hence the reason why I'm looking for the Core instead of the Premium; I'll save a bit of money too.

The Core system is over-priced compared to the Premium. It's cost, typically, ?200, often ?210, whilst the Premium starts at ?270 and that sometimes even includes a game. The Core does not have a wireless controller and only comes with a standard AV cable (?20.00+ for the HD one) and, if you didn't already have a spare HDD you'd need a memory card on top (?20+). So you'll actually be paying at least ?220 for the Core - for <?50 extra you can get the full Premium package (ethernet, faceplate, headset etc). No brainer.

If you could get the Core for under ?175 it would be worth it but the only place you'll find it at that sort of price is eBay.

Amazon and Choices do the Core for ?190, but you'd probably be better off getting the premium (with a couple of games bundled in) and flogging the bits you don't want on here or ebay.
