    best d-pad on a 360 controller?

Just wondering whats the best 360 controller, that has a great d-pad? im finding the official d-pad to be totally useless.

I'm no great d-pad fan, but have a MadCatz 360 controller, the raised d-pad is only the cross and it's raised a fair bit. Crap description i know, search for a pic, anyway I find it better than the d-pad on the official controller.

I presume you want some kind of arcade type controller, but if you found a dpad on a 3rd party standard controller, you could probably remove it and stick it into an official pad. I don't think I ever measured it up, but I recall thinking I might use the one from an OG Xbox S-type controller.

You could always use a PSP Capcom/Namco D-pad adapter. I'm sure they would fit quite nicely. The best route has to be the DOA4 stick though.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

I've not tried, but I've read that it is quite easy to mod a 360 pad to make it better -you just shave some of the plastic away.

          Otherwise, your choices are:

          1) DOA stick (Decent Hori part stick)
          2) Adapter to use PS2 controller (e.g. XFPS 360).

Filing away the protective ring? can anyone say this makes it really more precise? as lumines live is not fun currently with a normal pad

                That sounds like a plan.

Does anyone know if the Saturn controllers for PS2 work on 360 using the XFPS?

Yea,scraping away the OUTER wall where the dpad sits.I did mine with a bread knife and the results are shocking.Just scrape away enough so that the dpad has got enough room to breathe.I can't believe MS have'nt picked up on such an easy solution.

Lumines,SFII',Castlevania, you name it.Every one of them now play flawlessly with the dpad.Highly, highly recommended

Absolutely no reason why they wouldn't. The XFPS works for my PS2 arcade sticks as well as regular DS pads. No reason why Saturn controllers for PS2 wouldn't work.
