Problems playing PSX AJPW King's Soul on PS2

Hello all,

I recently found a copy of AJPW King's Soul (PSX) for sale on eBay which I eagerly snapped up. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to play it on my Flip-top PS2 using Swap Magic I then purchased Breaker Pro. Unfortunately, I still can't get the bloody game to work. Breaker Pro loads up fine but I am unsure when to insert the import disk. If I try during the menu screen the Breaker disk is still spinning, and if I try it after selecting Start Game I can hear the disk attempt to start but nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing?

Any advice would be most welcome,

Is the disc scratched?

Not that I can see. So it should work with Breaker Pro? When exactly should I be swapping the disks?
