    New TV, advice needed!

hi,im looking to get a cheap new tv for the huge sum of ?200. Im mostly buying it for games as my current tv isnt fully 60# ntsc compatible.

does anybody know where i could buy a cheap compatible TV online, and could reccomend one.

    cheers for any advice

have alook on www.empiredirect.co.uk they do tvs for cheap, but dont really mention wether they're 60hz ntsc compatible and check on the manufacturers websites as they usually have good info, especially sony, toshiba etc

oh yeah make sure the tv is ntsc 3.58 to play consoles on it without an rgb scart lead.

Beware of EmpireDirect though. I've heard bad stories about damaged/wrong orders and terrible aftersales service.

            try www.robertsons-online.co.uk

they're supposed to be the best.

I'm hopefully gonna get the Toshy PF2 32" from there soon.

Does anyone know an easy way to check a TV screen for defects? Perhaps a test screen or white page easily accessible? Or maybe a DVD that has a standout picture where you can a spot a screen problem a mile off???
