Thinking of purchasing a US XBox 360, after some advice please...

Hi guys and gals, am after some advice please. I am thinking of purchasing a US Xbox 360 and am after any comments from people who either have one already or who have had one or anyone with any opinions on importing.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are reference either the benefits or downfalls of having an import machine. I know that you can have a UK Xbox live account on an import machine so that's ok.

I like American sports games and would be buying one for mainly this purpose, there are lots of region free games now including popular titles like GOW, GRAW2, Vegas etc so again thats not a problem.

Like I said anyone with any comments/opinions on owning an improt 360 please post them here, I am interested in everyones opinions good or bad.

The only real advantage of a US 360 is for sport games. Like you I'm a big US sports fan so if you want to play stuff like the NCAA Football games (& don't have a PS3) then it's definitely worth considering. There isn't really any other benefit of a US machine tbh as most other games tend to get released here around the same time or within a month or two of the US release.

The downside of importing a console is that a) you may not be covered by the warranty (although MS seem ok) if anything goes wrong, b) you'll most likely have to pay import duty/ courier handling fees etc. & c) you'll need to buy either a UK 360 power supply or a step-down convertor to use it in the UK.
