    Norton 360 Problem. :(

    Hey Guys,

Yesterday I got Norton 360 all in one security installed onto my pc (amazingly, the first time we have ever installed such a thing onto one of our pc's) and everything has been running fine until now....trying to log into my hotmail account but keep getting this message popping up:

This organization's certificate has been revoked.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

There seems to be no option to "continue" ? is there a way i can tell Norton that hotmail is ok?

I went to the internet settings and put in hotmail was a safe site but still no luck yet all day yesterday and for most of today it was working fine...(hotmail that is) hmmm..

Could anyone please put me in the right direction, it would be very much appreciated. I'm a bit of a "noob" when it comes to stuff like this im afraid. I wanna read my emails!

I dont think the mail server resides on the www.hotmail.com domain. So even if you specified this in the settings I doubt it would work.

Personally I've always found thes security packages to be overkill , especially Nortons. They just take up too many resources. If it's your PC I would remove it completely and install a standard firewall and anti-virus solution.

Sorry for the in-direct solution mate... (^^*)

Mhmmm...I see hotmail redirects to an other site, maybe bookmarking that very link and setting it as a safe site might work, probably Norton doesn't like the redirect method and consider it pishing, no browser or firewall actually tells me that the autentication certificate has expired.
The next step would be to uninstall Norton and get something better...Kaspersky's integrated firewall/antivirus is an excellent all-in-one solution, Nod32 and Avast are excellent stand-alone antiviruses and there are a lot of good firewalls, like Outpost and Comodo.
