    Cleaning an LCD TV

    Hi guys,

Ive got an LCD TV, and there seems to be bags of smears all over it, and whatever i use on it, they just seem to get worse and worse. What would you guys recommend to use on it to get rid of these marks?

    Thanks in advance!!

Spray the cloth, not the screen.

LCD/Monitor wipes or a proper monitor spray.

I use sand paper and a bit of Cillit Bang.
Or sometimes, wire wool works a treat.

Does anyone want to buy my knackered LCD? The screen is all scuffed and scratched.

On a serious note, don't use Pledge. I made that mistake and it took ages to get the smears off the screen. I thought I'd ruinied my telly.

Something like those microfibre cloths and water that andrew linked above would be ideal.

Go to a spectacle shop, and buy a small can of pressurised lens cleaner and a cleaning cloth. Job done!

I use vinegar and water - 80% water 20% vinegar; leaves the screen clear and smear free.
