    Streaming Video From PC On Xbox1

    Been meaning to sort this out for ages as I'm fed up burning DVD's or FTP'ing stuff to the HDD.

    Can anyone tell me how I go about setting everything up so my xbox can stream video etc from my PC ?

      How come you aren't using your 360 yosh?

      XviD ---into-winavi--> stream to 360...

      Just set up a batch to convert overnight, hey presto, reading in the morn.

          Windows xp you need windowsmediaconnect...I'll try and find a link.

          It allows you to stream mp3s/wmv/wma etc across.

          OR, if you have the latest Windows Media Player it has it built in, I found it easier in XP to use Windows Media Connect, now I have Vista I use Windows Media Player.

          Once you've got that bit sorted you need a program called "WinAvi" which basically is a ridiculously easy program to use that converts every format I've chucked at it, into WMV (windows media video) with very very little quality loss, some you don't notice at all.

          So, there, once you've converted the files you just use windows media connect (or media player, whichever) and it automatically shares the directories you tell it to with your 360

            It's free and you can get it : http://files.filefront.com/Windows+M.../fileinfo.html

            WinAvi is not free, but I'll hook you up via PM.

                Nice! I've not got that one, watched Scanner darkly the other day and was mildly disappointed. Still got Casino Royale and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas HD wmv to watch myself!

                WMC is harder to get because nowadays it's built into WM Player. I don't mind WMP myself but I far prefered the fact that WMC was so low on resources.
