Ps3 Parcel Force

Hi, I bought a PS3 from play and its been posted and i have this tracking number and this is what it says on site:-

DateTimeLocationTracking Event</IMG>05-05-2007 00:40 Coventry DepotOut for delivery

If its out for delivery, should i of got it today?

Sounds like it, though very late in the day now, you should have phoned them this morning really.

Mind, I expect they charge extra for Saturday delivery, so prehaps it was due to be delivered on Tuesday all along ?

It's a saturday so it really depends. My PS3 was delivered by Parcelforce this week as well.

Bottom line : Out for delivery means you should get it. HOWEVER, most parcelforce employees are "self employed" now and they will occasionally fail packets...I've had a parcelforce item say that over the weekend from a Saturday and it turned up monday.

Worth ringing the depot to be honest, ring the Coventry depot with the consignment number and they will tell you straight away if its out for delivery or not.

If play sent it Friday technically it should be with you friday.

Mine was sent tuesday and came wednesday.

EDIT: Should have mentioned this actually, when I had a similar thing happen over a weekend I found out that although play.com send it via "Parcelforce 24" (24 hour service) that DOESN'T apply to saturdays.

i thought royal mail or parcelforce couldnt guarantee delivery on a Saturday

i've had a few before that stated that and i've got them on a Monday

even with special delivery - they normally put Monday's date on it if you post it on a Friday

I sent them a e-mail this morning but got a automated email back saying the offices were closed until Tuesday, thats why i never called.

With Bank holiday Monday i doubt i wont get it until Tuesday.

Royal mail have a "Saturday guaranteed" service now...parcelforce do a similar one but it's expensive.
