Hori Fighting Stick 3 (PS3) impressions?

Noticed that Play.com are doing these for ?30 at the mo & I'm tempted to pick one up. Anybody here got one & is it any good?

As it has a usb connector I'm assuming it'll also work on a pc? Ideally I'd like to use it with a few shooters etc. on MAME as the pad I'm currently using doesn't handle diagonals very well.

Thanks in advance & if there're any other decent sticks for the same sort of price then please suggest away!

The VSHG MDK's it 78 million times over, but it's decent if you're not a hardcore stick user. I'm not sure if it'll work with a PC, but the VSHG doesn't.

J0e is spot on if you are more casual gamer then the hori is the way to go plus it apparently does work on the pc although its supposedly hit and miss whether you can get it working

The hori FS3 only with with custom drivers, you can get them from a thread somewhere on www.virtuafighter.com.

Its not a bad stick, the same as the DOA stick for 360 really. good value for £30 but not a patch on the VF high grade stick.

Joe - my high grade stick works fine on my pc, the stick is detected as the hat controls so it only works with things like mame where the controls can be reconfigured.

Sounds like it'd probably be fine for my needs as it'd only be used for a bit of 'casual' Mame / emu gaming on the pc or with Tekken 5 on the PS3. I don't really have the ninja-like skills to benefit much from something more extravagant like the VSHG or Hori RAP

can't find those drivers now, there are some people saying they don't work anyway.

another option is a ps2 stick and a ps2 to pc usb convertor thing, they will work on ps3 also
