Acrobat 8 just doesn't install on my mac!

I just got Adobe CS3 design suite and everything installs except acrobat pro 8 for some reason. I've tried installing twice and once with my friends copy og Acrobat pro 8 on it's own and nothing. Do I have to un-install everything Adobe on my mac before it will work? as that would be a pain in the arse. And my mac is up to date with all software and meets the requirements.

    Thanks

I had no problem installing the whole CS3 premium on my WinXP machine...the CS3 installation program correctly recognized the old CS2 installation and AC8pro simply replaced AC7.
Try to uninstall AC7, not the whole package, and reinstall.

I had an issue installing Adobe Photoshop elements on my Mac. Adobes advice was to install it as another user. I do have my mac set up with a root account so it was easy for me to install.

This is my first Adobe product so unless there's something adobe on my mac that came as standard then nothing adobe was on it.

I will try now to install it as another user.

WTF! I tried installing as another user and when I click on the app it says it was unable to install, come on it doesn't make sense that everything else install but not acrobat. but thanks for your help people.
