XP or Vista

Righto, gonna reinstall my system.

Just wondering which you guys would advise me to get.

Windows XP
or
Windows Vista

I like my desktop to look quite snazzy and tbh quite like the look of Vista, but I also use programmes live DivX player, winamp, and I play quite alot of games on the PC.

vista will obviously be more future proof, as many games over next 2 years will stop supporting xp.

although right now, with drivers the way they are xp may have the performance edge.

dual boot if you can, have the best of both, vista is lovely but quite demanding, but xp is reliable for all games
