good PS1 games?

hi, just been looking on ebay and saw a ps1 with 4games for 1p(and ?8postage) so i bought it its the small ps1
anyway i now need a couple of games to go with it, so what are the good ps1 games? i have a dreamcast so only want games the were not also on the dc.
its a pal console btw.

also where can i get brand new pads from?(will ps2 pads work?)

PS2 pads won't work but you should be able to get both types of PS1 pad for a couple of quid in used games shops. It won't be easy getting new pads though.

Get both Oddworld games! Two of the machines best. And cheap to boot.

I keep saying it (I am not trying to say its not been said, but my own discovery of this title can't be helped) but Xenogears is really overlooked by peeps in the UK, due to its JP/US release only. It has some amazing music and great gameplay

as for games i like well i'm not really into the RGP games, but other than those i guess pretty much anything i'll try.

hows the best way to get it to play imports if i do keep it?(might buy another ps2 next month)

Tombi/Tomba is a great little game, kind of rpg lite but just pretty silly platformer. Also there is a sequel which I cannot vouch for. The original Spider-Man game is great fun

You can pick up the American version that's called Roll Away for around ?10-?20. It's a great game but rather tricky and head messing.

Just to say if your after brand new pads, there not hard to find at all. There loads on ebay and many online retailers still sell'em.

If you chip your PSone or get a boot disc I recommend Racing Lagoon. Although be aware it was only released in Japanese and it's quite hard to find for a reasonable price.

Tomb Raider!!

Forget about all the others as they were crappy in comparison, the original game was an absolute classic and is worth buying if you see it around.
