Any news on the new PSP?

I fancy picking up another Psp, but i hear a smaller, improved model is on the way, any idea when? I dont really want to buy a current model only for a 'better' version to come out a short time later. On the other hand i dont want to wait too long. Any news?

Any remodeling rumors have been dismissed by Sony, they did however lowered the price of the existing model...surely a smaller model with improved battery life can be easily obtained by switching to an higher miniaturization, but I don't really think it would be a smart move, financially wise.

Thanks, wasnt aware the rumours had been dissmissed by Sony? Even the news doing the rounds a couple of months back about a smaller, lighter version but with the same size screen?? Nothing to stop me i guess? Although soon as i buy one they will announce a improved model:eyes:

Smaller, thinner and narrower, i don't think it will help westerners,
since i already have trouble finding good grip on mine.
Longer game session hurt my hand joint,
since i have to hold it awkwardly to have my fingers and thumbs
to cover all the buttons.
I reckon it is a bad move to make it smaller,
but that is just me.

Thats true j0e, i wish i knew one way or the other? Got burnt with the original gba dont want a repeat performance. Anyhow id like to see a lighter, thinner psp as its way too heavy for a handheld imo, i wouldnt object to it being smaller also. Gah!

The Hardware is keeping me from buying a PSP, I'd bought that thing years ago, if it wasn't for that intimidating size, the craptastic digital stick and the loading times.

A revision like the Lite, could work wonders.
