how can I repair a scratched UMD?

I have bought tekken for the PSP twice now and the discs are both scratched and won't work. I think this game must be cursed because in my huge collection of games, these are the only 2 that are scratched. I refuse to buy it for a third time and need to find a way to repair them.

some shops have those machines that repair damged cd's and dvd's but I can't find any places on the net that claim to repair damged UMD's.
I was tempted to buy one of those kits that repair umd's but they havent worked for me in the past (although I havent tried them since the ps1 days)

anyone got any suggestions?

My mate's shop uses Scratch Busters who list the PSP on their site (see the top banner) and literature, but then again the FAQ on there says that they can do it to any CD or DVD; no mention of UMD. Maybe worth shooting them an email or giving them a ring.
