What like "SW" for star wars? Yeah, writing SW is a lot quicker, but saying it is actually longer (more sylables). Add them to my hate list too.

once a few years back a customer asked for a game called Kotor. I had no idea what he was going on about to begin with, but then when typing it in to gamefaqs search engine it dawned on me. This kind of thing happens a lot thesedays though.

As far as I can tell web 2.0 means an application has a shiny logo with a bright upper half and a darker lower half. Often the delineation between the dark and light bits is a wavy line.
Apple iApps stylee shiny reflections are also in.
