PS3 won't update?

Just popped a Pal Virtua Tennis 3 in my US PS3 and a message came up saying that my current firmware is 1.32 and if i want to play Virtua Tennis 3 i need 1.50.
Fair enough but when i click the update icon it says there's no info on the disc so i can't play it without the update?
I still haven't got broadband so updating via tinterweb isn't an option atm really.

Can you not download the update via the dial up connection? and update that way

It's just a pain unpluging my PS3 and moving it near the PC. Any idea how long would it take via dialup.

Just seems strange that i need to update to play but the update data isn't on the disc

That would take a while via dialup. Overnight probably. The update is about 110MB.

Sony will send you version 1.60 on a disc. Worth a shot.

I was gonna suggest, failing that if you could send a memory stick/etc to someone, perhaps they could download it and send it back to you?
