    HDMI Splitter advice?

A simple one this...anyone know the cheapest place to get one that isn't utter dog****e

I use one of these, absolutely no problems with it whatsoever, I use it to switch between my PS3 and Oppo.

It's a manual switch, but it's 4 ports and does not use a plug!

If you prefer something you can switch with a remote, I think Lyris had good things to say about the Joytech Tri-link.

Less ports and requires a plug, but does have a remote control. Use whichever you prefer. I personally have no plug sockets spare!

Get a new telly or amp with two HDMI sockets... you know you want to!

Don't think that'd go down too well having bought a new Samsung LCD and a PS3 in the last 12 months...

Why are these so damned expensive?

Sell your LCD and get a new Samsung, the new range all have 2 HDMIs at least... even the 23" one I'm eyeing up for the bedroom has 2 HDMI, component, DVI + VGA which is frankly ridiculous for watching BBC breakfast as I try to wake up

Mine has HDMI/DVI, VGA, Component etc...just not 2 x HDMI.

I can't afford to sell the Samsung as I'll get nowhere near what I paid for it.

The Joytech Tri-link is probably the best deal on a HDMI switcher.

Is the joytech tri-link HDMI switcher powered, anyone know?

It's powered but you have the option of plugging it into the mains or powering it through USB. The second one's a great option because so many modern boxes under the TV - from set-top boxes, to consoles (all three current consoles have USB), and even a lot of TVs - have an extra USB somewhere.
