    60Hz through S-video

I can run my current PAL consoles in 60Hz mode through my early 1990s TV without any problems. Am I right in thinking I'll be able to run an NTSC Wii through S-video via one of those composite/s-video to scart blocks? e.g.: -

(I will get a better TV eventually!)

    Thanks in advance

Question is why would you want to? RGB is so much more lovely.

I thought it was only a component or S-video signal from an NTSC Wii?

Just make sure the TV can handle NTSC, as S-video is still the original signal (differs from PAL 60Hz obviously) and does not convert to color (same as cinch).

Try an NTSC console e.g. from a friend before buying. Normally with a newer telly, it should work, but ask or evn better, try it out yourself in the shop where you gonna buy the telly! By now you should know there are two NTSC signals available!!

Ok, a US SNES will only give a black and white picture via composite. Guess that US Wii will do the same (via composite/S-video).

Anybody know where I can buy a NTSC to PAL converter?? (will post in the wanted forum also)

          Many thanks
