I'm going to asume that a PAL opy of Ninja Gaiden for the original xbox won't play on my Jap 360?

I know the US NTSC version will not work on PAL consoles so I assume it's the same the other way around.

No it won't unfortunately.

I believe that the Asian, Japanese & US versions of Gaiden are encoded so that they will work on any NTSC Xbox/360 regardless of the console's region though. I've tested my Asian copy on a US 360 and it works fine which would seem to support this.

The Japanese version doesn't have an English language option so your best bet would be to pick up either the Asian version (incl. full English language support) or failing that a US copy which should also work.

I'm not sure if the same thing applies to Black or not though.....

I hadn't really given any thought to selling my copy but tbh it's just sitting gathering dust as I've long since sold my 360.

It's a collector's edition though (comes in a hardback type box w/ art postcards & a keyring) so might be a bit too 'extravagant' for what you're after.
