Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS3 Jap version question

Does anybody know which firmware version the full release of this game needs?

I know the demo requires 1.60 and I'm a bit dubious about buying it before I know the answer to this question.

This isn't an answer to your question but it is a question regarding the game.

I have a Jap version PS3. If i were to purchase either the Jap or Asian version of the game, can i expect it to be censored e.g no blood....?

If that is the case then when the US version is finally released, would that be censored on my Jap PS3...?

I'm pretty sure the Japanese version isn't going to have decapitations. With regards to the console region affecting the censorship as it did with Resistance, I doubt anyone will know that until it's at retail.

No idea on the original question though, sorry.

No it's OK guys, I probably will have to leave it as I doubt it will work on 1.50, I couldn't even play Fear last night as that wanted 1.51.

I haven't heard of any censorship in the Jap version yet, but it wouldn't surprise me, I think the US version is out next week though.

Why would you not have the most current FW?
          Kept you waiting, huh?

You have something wrong with you?

Surely you have a pro duo and a memory card reader, or at least access to one? D/L it to the stick then run it from there no?

I don't see the point in owning a PS3 if you can't keep up with the FW updates. My friend is like this, but I do it for him via pro duo. I'd get bored of only RR7 and Resistance pretty sharpish myself.

I have a 1.5 console, I have access to the PSN via a proxy I have configured, I have gone out of my way to avoid firmware updates and I'm not doing one for this.

I have my reasons, and they are my own.

There is no reason not to have the most current FW. There are no hacked ones out there or anything like for PSP. You're missing out on lots of new features by staying at 1.5. It's total madness not to stay current. You won't be able to play any new games that come out.

Well 1.10/1.11 has had an exploit found in it and it was reccomended on good authority not to go to 1.60 or beyond if you do want to use homebrew etc, if you guys want to keep on top of the latest updates then that's up to you, but I certainly won't be for now.

You don't have another box you can run roms and such on? You really are mad it seems. You said 1.10/1.11 has the exploit, yet you have 1.50, so you're already buggered anyway. Total waste of owning a PS3 if you ask me. Is there even any homebrew out yet?

No, but the exploit was found in the otherOS installer which was removed after 1.60 and the hole in the XMB was completely patched, like I said, my reasons are my own.
