Eternal Darkness - how best to play it?

So, I started playing this last night as one of a series of games that I've struggled to get into before, but 'people' keep telling me are awesome (Finished MP2 the other night, the 'people' are wrong about that one!).

Now, I know there are three branching paths (I chose green last night, because it seemed the least threatening colour. ), but I'm curious whether I can play through them all on one save, or do I need to play through them each individually? I have a save that's fairly close to the branch room, which I can keep, and a further save which is the progress that I've made into the green path so far.

So should I just start a new save from the branch when I've completed the green path or can I play it all through as one? Also, is there any benefit to rolling the saves on the game - any nasty bugs that might mean I end up starting over etc...?

Hopefully that makes sense. I'm such a pussy for scary games I want to make sure I don't have to play it any longer than necessary.

You have to play each path on the same save. So after the final boss, repeat the game and choose the next path and repeat and than you get an extra final boss or something. I couldn't be bothered to do more than once through. Good game though. Not amazing, but above average story and nice characters. Can't remember about the rolling saves.

Yup once you complete the game 3 times so each colour is done you unlock eternal mode (^_^)

It's a great game i enjoyed it enough to play through it 3 times to see the true ending.

Excellent, thanks folks. As I don't have to maintain more than one save to see the whole game, I'll do my normal thing of rolling one page of saves anyway (4 in this case). I like to have my bases covered.

The knocking on the door in the mansion at the moment is freaking me out.

Hehe love the creepy noises throughout that game & the insanity effects are brilliant in the temple level.

          Great voice acting too.
