360 "wired" pad on PC

Quick question - does a wireless pag with the USB charge yokey work as a wired pad or is it a whole different beast?

Nope it doesn't work - the charge cable doesn't transmit any signal to the system and is to charge the battery only.

Forgot to say, there's always that wireless doodad that can be picked up for around a tenner now and allows wireless pads / headset / 360 wheel to work

If you get the wireless reciever take care when cutting the packaging open. Quite a few people have cut through the cable.

You'll also need either XP or Vista.

Mine has been excellent so far with the only problem being that you can't turn the controller off when you have finished (turns off after a while but mine has stayed on for over half an hour) unless you pull the battery pack out.
