Played a few of them so will give you a rundown of those I know -

Sega Smash Pack - Not great. I don't remember what the Golden Axe conversion is like at all but the Ecco game features sprites that are the original Megadrive res. So, on the GBA screen with its limited resolution, you can only see a small amount around you. Some of the background graphics were stripped down and the music was entirely butchered (much was simply removed). Sonic Spinball had the same res problem but played a little better.

Crazy Taxi - GBA can't pull it off. It's pretty pants. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Jet Set Radio - I only played a go of someone elses game of this so I can only give you a 1-minute play impression. It's isometric and actually seemed like it might be decent. Played a little like the GBA Tony Hawks but with the JSR style. Just first impressions though.

Broken Sword - Actually works very well. Obviously the speech is removed. There is, however, a game breaking bug you'd need to be aware of or else you could end up being very frustrated. It can be avoided so you could look it up on Gamefaqs I'm sure.

Tetris Worlds - the only thing I had a major problem with in this was the infinite spin. Nobody seemed to have a problem with it in the DS version though so you may not mind.

SSX Tricky - this actually isn't too bad but it's the GBA trying to do full 3D again so you'd have to bear in mind that it is severely comprimised by the hardware. If you're pretty forgiving, you may get a bit of enjoyment out of it.

Haven't played the others. Hope something there helps. My memory isn't great so there may be positives or negatives I'm forgetting but it gives you some of an impression at least.

I must have it somewhere. All my GBA games are loose and chucked in bags somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it out and let you know.

Golden Axe gets quite a lot of criticism, but I found it quite a good conversion of the Megadrive version of the game. Haven't played any of the others.

Well I pulled it out and Golden Axe isn't atrocious. Now, I don't remember everything about the original but I'm pretty sure that, like the others in the pack, the music has been mostly stripped out. The sprites are large, meaning you get to see less on screen but it does actually look pretty good. Something feels funny with the controls, like the collision detection is off or something but it may well always have been that way. That might have nothing to do with the conversion.
