    Samsung LE32R87BD. Opinions?

This is as good-a-place as any to ask.

What are the forumites opinions on this TV? Connection wise, I'll be putting my V+ box to it via HDMI, Wii via Component, Mac Mini via VGA input (although may use DVI -> HDMI?), and an old DVD player via SCART.

I doubt I'll be getting a PS3, very slim chance of an Xbox360, really don't have the time to play them.

So, anyone have any opinions on these set? Anyone got one?

I got one mate (check the Gaming Setup Thread). I love it! The VGA output on it is absolutely fantastic!! Ditto with Component too, only 1 RGB socket though, but 3 HDMI connections makes it a bargain at £450 IMO.

I calibrated the TV using the settings posted over at the AVForums and couldn't be happier with it!

Spot on Bleeders, that's what I wanted to hear.

Where did you get it for £450 from? I can get it on Amazon for £500, and don't mind that as their customer service is always good.

Will be placing an order tonight, me thinks. Did you get a stand with it, or from another place?

        Freaky.

Bleeders, I used to have a games room EXACTLY the same shade of blue as that, and have the same Crumpler laptop bag for my old (wife's) 12" Powerbook!!

Great minds en' all that eh mate.

I got my Sammy here - £467 with Free Delivery.

It came with the Desktop Stand as standard mate; lovely little LCD!

I went for a Sony over the Samsung - forgive me for being old-fashioned, but doesn't the shiny Samsung TV casing look a bit tacky and fingerprint-covered? Suppose it matches the PS3, but I'm happier with my boring dull matt grey Sony.

Also looking at prices they all seem to be fairly similar, and from what the guy at the shop says the screens all tend to be from the same manufacturers. Depends on connections, price and the style of case more than anything apparently.
