    Quick ethernet cable connection...

Can you connect two ethernet cables to make a super long one? Do you need to crimp it, or is there a suitable fitting?

It's in here cos I want to use it for Live, rather than PCing...

I'm sure you must be able to get a little adapter to join 2 together, it would seem only logical.

Cool, thanks. I don't think a wirless adapter is actually going to work as my 360 is on the secon floor of mah house. Will have to test one, otherwise I'm gonna need a load of cable, and ebuyer only listed up to 30m.

an ethernet bridge, or router could do what you want

easier to buy another length of cable, or put a switch in between to join two short lengths

A straight through cat 5 coupler is what you need. And you can get cat 5 cable in lengths greater than 30m. Hell at work we run it close to 100m in places

Cat5 limit over 100BaseT is 200Mtrs. You could just run a cable downstairs, then into a switch, for more ports downstairs. Like I do.

                100Metres

And as already mentioned, just get a coupler if you've two cables already, they only cost a few quid
