    ps3 via RGB?? any good?

right i am currently about 3-4 months away from buying my new 1080p sony lcd screen, but i'm buying a ps3 first.

for the time being i'll be using a sony ls30u 29" flat 4:3 crt tv....via rgb scart, but i cant find any info via google.

what i want to know is how does it look via the rgb connection? is it the same annoying forced letter box widescreen that the 360 has on a 4:3 set?

how does oblivion, virtua fighter etc look?

    any help appreciated.

It looks very good. But you're stuck with 50hz. Which is what made me go the HDTV route.

thats unbelievable.....no 60hz?? what about forced letterbox like the majority of 360 games on a 4:3 crt?

Never tried it on a 4:3 set.

          You sure its 50Hz only?
My copy of Ridge 7 (JPN) was letterboxed but resistance wasn't. Guess it depends.

That's because resistance is optmized for 50hz. This is at the descretion of the developer and not built into the hardware as with the 360.
