Sorry if I didn't search hard enough for other threads but here's my situation.
Have an NTSC 360. Bought a UK psu off of ebay to use it here in Ireland. The thing fried after a few weeks (in my guesstimate due to a ****ty power system in the hotel I was using it in). The ebay seller hasn't got back to me about warranting it for me, surprise surprise.
I was hoping to fool Microsoft into thinking I got it with a PAL 360, BUT it looks slightly different then my NTSC psu and the PAL one I'm borrowing off a coworker. Slightly lighter shade of grey, darker rubber feet and a different sticker (although it still says Microsoft on it).
1)Does anyone know if this is a 3rd party psu or just an older version?
2)If I do try a warranty I assume I need to give them a SN off a PAL 360 as my machine's, but does it need to be a registered machine?
3) Would I need a receipt of purchase from a local retailer?
4) Is the PSU covered under 3 or 12 month?
5) Also just saw these on ebay any opinion?
